Parking at Abbey Mill

Abbey Mill is located in Winchester city centre and does not have on-site parking. However, there are several affordable and convenient parking options within easy walking distance.

Below are our recommended parking options for members and visitors.

Best Value Option – Park & Ride

Winchester’s Park & Ride sites offer the most affordable all-day parking, with frequent buses into the city centre.

  • East Winchester Park & Ride
Approx. 10–12 minute bus journey into the city, then a 5 minute walk to Abbey Mill.

  • South Winchester Park & Ride
Approx. 10–15 minute bus journey into the city, then a 5 minute walk to Abbey Mill.

👉 Ideal for full-day working, regular visits, and commuters.

City Centre Car Parks (Walkable)

These car parks are within walking distance of Abbey Mill:

  • Colebrook Street Car Park – 1 minute walk (closest)

  • Middle Brook Street Car Park – approx. 5 minute walk

  • St Peter’s Car Park – approx. 6–7 minute walk

  • Chesil Street Multi-Storey – approx. 8–10 minute walk

  • Jewry Street Car Park – approx. 10–12 minute walk

👉 Best for shorter stays or when you want to park close by.

Other Parking Options

  • JustPark / private spaces – There are occasionally private driveway spaces available nearby via parking apps.

  • On-street parking – Limited and often time-restricted, so not recommended for longer stays.

Our recommendation:
For regular or full-day visits, Park & Ride is usually the easiest and most cost-effective option.
For short visits, Colebrook Street or Middle Brook Street car parks are the most convenient.
